Ingredients of Matcha Tiramisu:
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup mascarpone cheese
3 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons matcha powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup brewed strong coffee, cooled
2 tablespoons rum or coffee liqueur (optional)
Ladyfinger cookies (about 24)
Cocoa powder, for dusting
Matcha powder, for garnish
Instructions for making Matcha Tiramisu:
In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
In another bowl, whisk together the mascarpone cheese, sugar, matcha powder, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until well combined. Set aside.
In a shallow dish, combine the brewed coffee and rum or coffee liqueur if using.
Dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture briefly, ensuring they are moistened but not soggy.
Arrange a layer of soaked ladyfingers in the bottom of a serving dish or individual glasses.
Spread half of the matcha mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers, smoothing it out evenly.
Repeat with another layer of soaked ladyfingers and the remaining matcha mascarpone mixture.
Cover the dish or glasses with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld and the tiramisu to set.
Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and a sprinkle of matcha powder for garnish.
Serve chilled and enjoy your delicious Matcha Tiramisu!
You can also add a layer of fresh berries or chocolate shavings between the layers for extra flavor and decoration for Matcha Tiramisu.
