Ingredients of Chicken Nuggets
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs
1 cup breadcrumbs (panko for extra crunch)
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions for making Chicken Nuggets:
Prepare the Chicken: Start by cutting the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces. Aim for uniform sizes to ensure even cooking.
Set Up Breading Station: In one bowl, place the flour seasoned with salt and pepper. In a second bowl, beat the eggs. In a third bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Bread the Chicken: Dredge each piece of chicken first in the flour, then dip into the beaten eggs, and finally coat with the seasoned breadcrumbs. Press the breadcrumbs onto the chicken to ensure a good coating.
Heat the Oil: In a large skillet, heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
Fry the Nuggets: Carefully place the breaded chicken pieces into the hot oil. Fry in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
Drain and Serve: Remove the chicken nuggets from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauces.
